Officers were near 10th & Upland Streets when they heard multiple gun shots coming from the area of 10th & Madison Streets around 10:30 p.m., Capt. James P. Chubb said.
The boy was found lying face down in the grass, in front of a home on the 900 block of Madison Street, Chubb said.
The victim had suffered gunshot wounds to his chest and armpit area, and died of his injuries.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from Crozer Chester Medical Center.
While on location, officers also made contact with two other adult victims, who were shot in their lower extremities, Chubb said.
Both were transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center where they were listed in stable condition.
